In threaded fasteners, washers are used to reduce the compressive stress on the bearing surface and protect the surface of the connected parts, as the bearing surface of bolts, screws, and nuts cannot be made very large due to material and process limitations. Below, the stainless steel standard parts factory shares knowledge on material selection and processing technology for stainless steel gaskets.
Selection of stainless steel gasket material:
Gaskets should be made of hot-rolled steel plates, hot-rolled and pickled steel plates, or cold-rolled steel plates that are stamped or manufactured using cutting, rolling, forging, and other processing methods such as bar and tube cutting. The specific processing method is determined by the manufacturer's choice.
Stainless steel gasket processing technology:
There are two main processing techniques for stainless steel gaskets, one is deburring treatment and the other is surface protection treatment. To remove burrs, the gasket should be polished, vibrated, or other methods to remove burrs and burrs. Surface protection treatment, the standard distinguishes the surface treatment of gasket products according to coating (thick) and plating (thin), and the author believes that it should also apply to other fastener products such as bolts (screws, studs) and nuts. Although it is not as specific as described in this standard in some other corresponding standards.
If there are no other regulations, the surface of stainless steel gaskets without protective layers should be a regular surface, that is, without any other coating (plating) layer except for anti oil.
