Stainless steel open-end pins, as a type of mechanical component, are mainly used for thread connections to prevent loosening. After tightening the nut, insert the stainless steel split pin into the nut groove and the bolt tail hole, and open the stainless steel split pin tail to prevent relative rotation between the nut and bolt. Stainless steel open-end pin is a type of metal hardware commonly known as spring pin.
When using stainless steel split pins, five key points should be noted:
1. Eye circles should be made as round as possible.
2. The cross-section of the two legs of the stainless steel open-end pin should be circular, but it is allowed to have a rounded corner with a radius of r=(0.05~0.01) dmax at the intersection of the flat surface and the circumference of the two legs of the stainless steel open-end pin (d - diameter of the stainless steel open-end pin).
3. The gap between the two stainless steel open-end pins and the displacement of the two feet should not exceed the difference between the nominal specification of the stainless steel open-end pin and dmax.
4. Stainless steel open-end pins should be made with openings, and the angle α between the inner planes of their two legs should meet the specifications.
5. The surface of stainless steel open-end pins should not have burrs, irregularities, or harmful defects.
